Inspired by Real People Monday, Apr 7 2014

About a year ago, I was introduced to a really cool person who turned out was a friend of a friend. She was hosting an event at her home that I was invited to. As a result, I have been invited to more of these events. One of the last invitations I decided to look into her to see what she was really all about. What I learned was that the person I met is a well rounded ex-wife of a well paid actor who is very grounded in her faith and is probably one of the nicest people I have ever met. She has inspired me to write about her and several others.

As one of VH1’s Hollywood Exes, Sheree has proven to be an awesome person to know. She is real and is always smiling. I love the fact that she has done so much with her life and is an inspiration in an industry where many celebrities are fake when they are in front of a camera but turn into someone completely different when the cameras disappear.

In my life, I have had the opportunity to meet a lot of celebrities from little or unknown to well know. I generally judge the person on my first reaction being in their presence. If they are rude or pretentious, I move on. I refuse to give credence to a celebrity who does not deserve my valuable time. Sheree is one of those people who I feel deserves to be recognized for being a really awesome person. Because of this, she has inspired me to write about my experiences and share with the world some of the most awesome people I know or have met that really deserve to have their stories told. Keep an eye out for updates of this project.

Starts, Stops, Life Interuptus Friday, Apr 4 2014

Over the last year, I have experienced a broken computer with my entire book on it. It took months before I could afford to have my files transferred off the broken computer. During that time, I have been asked to work on several plays from one-woman shows to full ensembles. Now that things have started to settle down again, I am back to working on my book. It is an honor to be asked to be a part of the production teams and as a result, I have received many compliments and made some new friends along the way.

Now that things are getting back on track, I plan to complete the book by the end of 2014. Life has a way of putting obstacles in our paths. Don’t let these curtail your progress, find a way to make your dreams come true. Until next time, make your dreams come true.
